Dr. Ahmed Idris, an accomplished leader, has ascended the ranks at the Kenya Red Cross Society, starting as a volunteer and now serving as Secretary General, overseeing corporate services. His roles have included Executive Director at the International Centre for Humanitarian Affairs, Head of Policy and Advocacy, and Governance Manager.

Dr. Ahmed is an Oxford University PhD holder in International Law, with a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University’s Fletcher School. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi.

With a decade of experience, Dr. Ahmed has significantly influenced law and policy in Kenya and the region. He collaborates with governments and communities to tackle humanitarian challenges effectively.
