Agri-Waste Innovators Opportunity
The International Centre for Humanitarian Affairs (Kenya Red Cross Society), with support from the Airbus Foundation, is inviting agri-waste innovators to apply for a three-year incubation and acceleration programme supporting scalable, youth- and women-led projects that transform agricultural waste into valuable products. This initiative addresses Kenya's agricultural waste management crisis by providing specialized technical incubation support, market access guidance, investment readiness training, and ecosystem linkages to entrepreneurs converting crop residues like maize stalks, rice husks, sugarcane bagasse, banana and fish waste into commercial products. Targeting Kiambu, Kakamega, Homabay and Kericho counties, the program creates pathways for green jobs and entrepreneurship while advancing circular economy principles and strengthening rural economies. Deadline: 15th of February 2026.
