The International Center for Humanitarian Affairs through its innovation labs I.O.Me254, with support from the Airbus, is inviting agri-waste innovators to apply for a three-year incubation and acceleration program supporting scalable, youth- and women-led projects that transform agricultural waste into valuable products. This initiative addresses Kenya's agricultural waste management crisis by providing specialized technical incubation support, market access guidance, investment readiness training, and ecosystem linkages to entrepreneurs converting crop residues like maize stalks, rice husks, sugarcane bagasse, banana and fish waste into commercial products. Targeting mainly Meru, Kakamega, Homabay and Kericho counties, the program creates pathways for green jobs and entrepreneurship while advancing circular economy principles and strengthening rural economies.
